Diaphan

2022, Multimedia Installation

Format : Multimedia-interactive installation for DMX controlled 8LED PAR and 4speakers Program : Supercollider, Max/Msp
Diaphan is the result of a work that sought to find similarities between defining space in architectural art and theory and defining space in electronic music and sound art.

People are designed and trained to use all their senses when perceiving space. Although Diaphan is an indoor installation, it uses various materials that the audience can sense indoors and outdoors. The materials include natural grass, fog (fog machine), light streaming in from outside, and electronic sounds played through LED lights and speakers. People smell the grass, touch the density of the fog, and hear the sound of the speakers that reproduce the resonance that defines the size of the space, and perceive the space differently than before.
