Jiyoung Yoon is a South Korean sound artist and electronic music composer known for her innovative approach to contemporary music.
Her work blends distinctive sound design with cutting-edge technology, traversing diverse genres and formats.
Since relocating to Germany in 2016, she has expanded her practice across Europe, participating in numerous exhibitions and performances.
Her artistic scope bridges electronic live performance, sound installation, and film sound, demonstrating a dynamic and versatile practice.

In 2023, following her return to Korea, she joined the SoundLab research team at the Asia Culture Center (ACC), where she produced several works for exhibitions.

Her current practice centers on integrating electronically generated sounds with field recordings captured through techniques such as ambisonics and immersive audio.
She is also investigating underwater acoustics and other specialized methods of sound capture.

Since 2024, she has been engaged in larger-scale projects and research as part of the sound art collective Transients
which she co-founded with sound artists Yea-bon Jo and Suk-jun Kim,
