48-Channel Speaker/Multimedia Installation This work is the result of a research project conducted by the Asia Cultural Center’s Sound Research Institute ‘Sound Lab’ for one year in 2023 on the topic of ‘Future of Listening.’

How are the sounds of modern cities created? And how do we experience them? Many Asian cities developed rapidly in the first half of the 20th century as many people flocked to the cities. The various sounds revealed by individuals and groups with diverse cultural and historical experiences and memories while creating these huge cities form the ‘sonic fabric’ of the city.
