In some languages, the words for ‘soil’, ‘ground’, and ‘earth’ are all the same. The fact that soil makes land and that makes earth can sometimes feel strange. In Korean, it is also called ‘soil’, which in its dictionary definition means ‘a substance that can provide nutrients to plants and help them grow’. In literature, it is also used to mean ‘something that serves as a foundation or provides an atmosphere for something’. The fact that the word ‘base’ corresponds to the English word ‘ground’ shows that ‘soil’, ‘base’, and ‘ground’ are interestingly connected. This song concretely explains the various abstract meanings mentioned above. Soil creates sound. Soils from various lands have different masses and stimulate electric sensors to create electronic sounds. Thoroughly controlled data and elaborate performances allow the soil to fully express its meaning in the music.
